Being able to set the status to active when entering in an employees direct deposit information without the need to go back in and change it when you have started the payroll cycle would be helpful rather than having to go back in and do it. It saves the possibility of missing/forgetting this step and having to restart the whole process over.

@Geoffrey Falk, Elizabeth is correct. The only way to set and save an employee's direct deposit to active is once a payroll cycle is set. Everything else can be entered except for that.
@Geoffrey Falk, you can only do that as long as there is a payroll cycle currently setup and active. They would like to update without the payroll cylce having to be setup to run.
