Effective 7/1/18, there is a mandatory withholding from employees only for the State of Oregon and the calculation of the transit tax needs to mirror the Oregon withholding wages, so this would be helpful to have as an additional field in the OR tax table and not accounted for using the SDI field under Other Taxes because they are calculated differently. In addition, this needs to show on the w2 under box 14.

It is just not possible to program in every state, county and locality tax rules into the system...or to say it this way, if we did attempt to do this, it would be all that we would do...and folks probably wouldn't like that one either...
The problem I see with it being under a county tax code versus it being incorporated into the Oregon tax code is having to go into every active job and work site (and open work orders) and add the county tax code to any job or work site in Oregon for it to pick up the subject wages. And for our company, this could be over 300 jobs and I don't even want to look at the number of work sites/open work orders this would amount to.
We are currently reviewing this and the initial thoughts would be to use a tax code in the country field. Then at year end, we'd add new logic to display the subject to wages in Box 14.
Stay tuned.
