Proposed Job - Possible Improvements

  • Add a new Status selection, "Lost". Currently, you can only set "Proposed",  "Awarded" , & "Signed". This would help to organize/sort proposals.

 

  • Add ability to convert "Awarded" or "Signed" Proposed Jobs to an Active Job. Perhaps this could be accomplished through a "Convert" status that will prompt the user with the New Job Setup entry menu. Just some brainstorm/ideas.

 

  • Add validated Customer field, like how the Cost Center field is set-up. Currently, this would only partially possible through the use of Remarks field, however it is not validated and would limit the use of the remarks field.

 

  • Increased forecasting ability. This can be accomplished by using the estimated start date and estimated completed date and dividing up the estimated contract amount and estimated cost amounts (after applying the win probability percent) into the periods. I can see perhaps this being the default method, and maybe having a custom method where a user can manually set custom amounts per period.
