HR - Adjusted Seniority Date

We would like an "Adjusted Seniority Date" field added to the employee. We would then be able to put in a calculated "Start" date that would represent their actual seniority, aka recognized time of employment. The current reports work off their original hire date which may have gaps when they were not employed by us.

Example:

Original Hire: 1/1/2000
Terminate: 12/31/2000
Re-Hire: 1/1/2010

With the reports now, they would show a seniority, or employed time, of 15yrs 10mos.

With an adjusted seniority date, we would be able to enter 1/1/2009 (if we wanted to give them credit for that year they worked in 2000) or 1/1/2010 (if we did not want to include the 1yr). Either way, we would get a more accurate calculation for their anniversaries, etc...

In the interim, we will accomplish with a UDF, but it would be nice if this was an official field that flowed to stock reports/screens.
