Change Order - Estimated Cost Edit

I am sure we are the only contractor who does this - so i will tell on ourselves anyway. Sometimes we bill customers for change orders before we have an executed change order. Often the official paper trail is takes some time and we work off an email ATP and are given permission to bill. Also, sometimes on large complex change orders, my PM's don't get me the cost estimate before we bill it. There is not the same delay but it can be a few days later. I would like to be able to enter the change request without cost and then assign it to a change order and then bill it and subsequently go back into the change order and add a cost estimate. You can go through the JC module by phase but the cost estimate reflects as "original estimate" or base build and not part of the revision category.

It seems like a fairly straightforward enhancement - please give edit authority to cost estimate for change orders that have been billed.

Today we had an incident where the PM forgot to put the subcontract value in the change request. So... our costs were accurate and the change request was executed into a change order transferred to a draw request and billed so contract value accurate. It seems silly that i had to reverse a draw request to edit a subcontract value.
