Idea: Enhancement- Add ability to re-classify part of an invoice as holdback in cash receipts

More information: Would like to have a simple way to re-classify part of an existing invoice as holdback/retention, even though the holdback wasn't originally entered on the invoice. The process of having to back out the invoice with a credit memo and then completely re-enter the invoice is cumbersome. However, because of the handling of taxes, the longer process is necessary.

Would like to see a re-classification process completed as part of cash receipts instead. Please provide the ability to re-classify part of the invoice as holdback and adjust the taxes/VAT of the entire invoice. Also having a field in which to make a remark as part of the transaction would be a desirable part of the enhancement.
