Be able to use an AP credit invoice to offset another AP invoice from a different job, all the while being on the same AP Check

If I have a closed out job, but a vendor provided a last minute credit, i would like to code a credit memo to the original job for proper job costing. However, if i try to use that same credit memo and apply it towards a future invoice from a different job for that vendor, I am unable to do so. Spectrucm currently requires a job cost transaction in additionl to an AP entry to accomplish this task that should be able to be handled with a simple AP entry and check run.
