Certified Payroll (Solved)needs option to count zero hour weeks as a "numbered week", (Open) plus add option for signature

I cannot imagine we are the only ones who report Certified Payrolls for weeks without any pay history. There should at least be an option in the job for certified payroll to count work weeks with no payroll in the CP pay cycle "counter". This would be an addition to the GUI, and also what should be a simple change to the logic in the CP generation when calculating the work week "counter" number. Adding a checkbox for this in the job would allow you to change it back and forth if necessary, or allow for a job that has already processed some payroll to change on the fly if the job was set up incorrectly up front. This would save us HOURS per week with our volume of manually changing that pay cycle counter.

Secondly, there should be an option to include a signature on the CP's generated, which would also save us hours a week of signing/scanning/digitally adding signatures on CP's. We have this for checks, no reason it can't be added to CP's.

Neither of these enhancements would change anything already in place, only give more functionality for those who have these issues.

    FYI - From Viewpoint Support:

    Hi Vanessa and Daniel,

For question 1, in order to see a period as a work week on the report. There has to be some time charged to the job for it to appear. If no time is entered, the work week will not show anything. Something custom may be able to be done by working with Technical Services. But there would be an additional cost and I cannot guarantee anything.

If you have further questions please let me know.

    Thanks,

    Tom

I will double check on this with my payroll staff, but I believe we were already doing this and the counter would not count weeks with no hours posted (as previously confirmed by support). Also, this is not solved, because there is a second request to allow for signatures to be automatically added similar to checks so we don't have to waste time inserting them ourselves, or printing, signing, scanning a couple dozen per week.

Thank you, I will check on this.

    Hello!

This is available, but the job has to be set up properly for it. In Job Payroll Setup, set the week numbering to 'From first time card date'. The system will then calculate the week number from that initial time card...

On the Certified Payroll Report, you will want to select the 'Include jobs with no activity'.

Let us know if that doesn't resolve the issue. Thanks
